About Me

I've been doing research on the LeRay Family Tree since the 1990's. When I was young, I read a document signed by Bishop LeRay of New Orleans from the 1800's and that got me interested in my family name. Then, while at a barber shop in Houma, Louisiana, someone showed me some work that my cousin Goldie had done on the LeRay Family. I took her research and started working with this information. I then met a woman from France on the internet named Marie-Pierre Merlet. She was able to search the records in France and gave me information that was very important to our Family Tree. All of the information I have on our family is listed on my two websites. Enjoy!

I notice that the dates on Marie LeRay Bonvillain's grave has her birth Aug. 21, 1844.......It look's like it is a new marble stone....I think it should be Aug. 21 1884. If my assumption is correct, the family might want to know this. I have been working on the Babin, LeRay, Broussard and Sammie family since 1995....
